Lieutenant Summers served with the El Paso Police Department for 26+ years, from April 1989 until his retirement in October of 2015.

FBI Releases LEOKA Statistics For 2018

The FBI has released the latest statistics on fallen officers who were killed in the line of duty in 2018.  According to the report, 106 officers were killed last year.  Of the 106 deaths, 55 were felonious acts and 51 were accidents.
TxDOT kicks off Click It or Ticket Campaign, to raise awareness about seat-belt safety

The Texas Department of Transportation is launching their annual Click It or Ticket Campaign on Wednesday, May 8, to reduce the number of drivers and passengers who are killed or seriously injured because they’re not buckled up. According to TxDOT, wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of dying in a crash by 45% in a passenger vehicle, and up to 60% in a pickup truck.
